Full Job Description

The Children of Success Schools Trust are looking to appoint a finance assistant to provide a comprehensive and accurate financial administration service to the Trust., The academy is supported by Manchester Grammar School as a strong educational partner and has growing links with Manchester Enterprise Academy. It works closely with Place2be, a charity whose focus is on therapeutic and emotional support in schools. It is a founder member of the Manchester Schools Alliance.

About the role:
To provide a comprehensive and accurate financial administration service to the school.
Main Duties
1. Daily monitoring and organisation of finance inbox.
2. Daily processing of invoices ready for payment.
3. Oversee the ordering of goods and services on the accounting system, providing support and training for requisitioners and approvers.
4. Set up and maintain accurate supplier records, liaising with suppliers as appropriate.
5. Ensure that funds are banked in a timely and appropriate manner.
6. Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
7. Housekeeping duties including review of orders not received, partially received or incorrect and review of commitments to ensure validity.
8. Process and record Trust credit card transactions and reconcile to monthly statements.
9. Assist in the monthly VAT return preparation.
10. Other adhoc finance duties as requested by the Finance Officer, Payroll and Finance Manager or Director of Finance and Operations to support colleagues and ensure the delivery of the financial service to the Trust.

The post holder reports to the Director of Finance and Operations.

The Children of Success Schools Trust was established in March 2013 to formalise the relationship between The Willows Primary School and Haveley Hey Community School in a multi-academy trust .
