Full Job Description

Due to an internal promotion, a Finance Assistant position is available in the Management Accounts department. The successful applicant will join a dynamic and forward-thinking team where we are keen to develop our staff and support them in maximising their potential. The role will provide you with the opportunity to support the finance team in the delivery of the monthly and yearly financial position as well as supporting the wider operational team in delivering their services and supporting the Torbay and South Devon community.   • To provide a high quality level of support to the Management Accountants, Senior Management Accountants and Finance Business Managers.
  • Responsible for ensuring that financial information is processed into the finance ledger in accordance with procedures and accounting timetables, leading to the provision of information for monthly reporting and statutory returns. Ensuring financial information is processed in accordance with deadlines and procedures including pre-determined budgetary limits.
  • As required, investigating financial enquiries, and providing assistance and advice to budget holders., As a Finance Support Assistant, you will be joining the existing team providing a management accounts service to budget holders across the Trust.
