Full Job Description

The Finance Assistant will be working with our finance team and will be responsible for processing payments, verifying invoices and performing account reconciliations as needed. Ultimately, to ensure our finance and accounting practices are standardised across the organisation.,

  • Assembling review and verifying invoices and check requests
  • Flagging and clarifying any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
  • Sorting, coding, and matching invoices
  • Setting invoices up for payment
  • Entering and uploading invoices into the system
  • Tracking expenses and processing expense reports
  • Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments
  • Posting transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
  • Reconciling accounts payable transactions
  • Preparing analysis of accounts
  • Monitoring accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Maintaining vendor files
  • Corresponding with vendors and responding to inquiries
  • Assisting with month-end closing
  • Providing supporting documentation for audits
  • Maintaining accurate historical records
