Join our dynamic team in Ashby as a Finance Assistant, where you'll support project and business financials. This role offers a hybrid work style with 2-3 days in the office per week.   • Time Sheets: Support the team with accurate entry, resolve queries, utilisation reporting, and resource management.
  • Forecasting: Assist the project accountant with monthly forecasts, propose reasonable adjustments, and submission.
  • Monthly Reporting: Support reconciliations with SAP, perform variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Ad Hoc Models, Reports, and Calculations: Provide support as needed.
  • Workflow & GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt): Review and clear aged items.
  • Internal Controls: Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and other mandatory reporting.
  • Month-End Close: Support the full month-end close process, including postings, accruals, provisions (with CPM sign-off), and issue resolution with the CPM.
  • Invoicing: Raising and payment of supplier invoices.

    Strong understanding and interpretation of key financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Initiative and a flexible, proactive approach to independent work.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP (desirable).
  • Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or looking to start a qualification with relevant experience (desirable).
