Support the Financial Transformation of State School CateringChartwells State Schools is driving a financial and operational transformation, and we're looking for a proactive Finance Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who is ready to grow their career while making a meaningful impact.You will support Regional Managers and oversee two key contracts playing a crucial role in ensuring strong financial performance and operational excellence.What You'll Do1. Assist with Financial Operations
- Help prepare management accounts, including accounting adjustments.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports for key stakeholders.
- Support the use and optimisation of tools like the Chartwells Dashboard to enhance data access and insights. 2. Support Business Partnering Activities
- Work closely with Regional Managers and other non-finance stakeholders to deliver accurate financial information.
- Assist in providing actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. 3. Contribute to Performance Improvement
- Ensure data accuracy and assist in analysing trends to identify financial opportunities and risks.
- Help improve processes and adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment. 4. Enhance Personal and Team Growth

Experience in management accounting, including adjustments and reporting. - Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills to work with both finance and non-finance professionals.
- Actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent). Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Familiarity with SAP, Cognos, and QuickSight for reporting and analysis.
