Full Job Description

Reporting directly to Finance Business Partner, the Finance Assistant is a permanent role supporting the Finance Business Partner and Assistant Finance Business Partner.

The Finance Assistant is responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining comprehensive records, and providing essential administrative support to both the Commercial Finance team and operational colleagues. This role involves managing various financial tasks, ensuring efficient administration and documentation practices, and supporting the teams in their financial operations by providing timely and accurate information.

You will need to be used to supporting change in a busy environment and supportive in driving continuous improvement.

Interviews will take place on the 31st October and the 1st November via Microsoft teams

About the role

Your main duties will include:

- Manage SharePoint forms and ensure they are up-to-date and accessible.

- Oversee the Analysts' inbox, ensuring timely responses and accurate record-keeping.

- Maintain records of management hours and complete necessary checks back to spans of control criteria and feedback findings to FBP.

- Produce the Under/Over reports.

- Input data for budget and forecast planning, collaborating with team members for accuracy.

The successful applicant will have:

- We require the successful candidate to be part Qualified - AAT or equivalent (or QBE)

- Able to demonstrate experience of working in various areas of finance

- Good (intermediate level) Microsoft Excel knowledge, with the ability to use other Microsoft Packages

- Knowledge of accounting procedures and techniques, Disability Confident
