Full Job Description

The Finance Business Partner will join a finance team of 6 - consisting of the Finance Manager, FP&A Manager, Finance Business Partner, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. They will work closely with staff at all levels within the business and provide first line support to the Financial Manager and general support to the business, Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare financial data to ensure Programme P&L and balance sheet positions are correctly reflected.

  • Inventory management of all items and running of reports to summarise position. Reconcile at end of month to tie back to general ledger.

  • Support a 3 day month end close

  • Assisting with collating data and inputting it into One Stream

  • Support internal Capital Expenditure and Cost Centre reviews

  • Management and Asset verification on cycle basis. Includes take-on and Disposals

  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and team journals

  • Support balance sheet and internal/external audit reviews

  • Prepare and Reconcile Intercompany balances for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Ensure that balance sheet positions are reconciled, understood, and aged or judgmental items are actioned.

  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets & quarterly forecasts

  • Assist with VAT and Tax pack analysis

  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.

  • The job holder will be employed on a full-time basis working 37.5 hours per week and be willing to work some additional hours as necessary (e.g. month end).

  • Overseeing of Accounts Payable function and maintain ledgers to keep up to date.

  • Completition of daily and monthly KPI's. Timesheet management and various other reports.

  • Responsible for all cost centre / project owners and maintenance within SAP system. Assist movements & updates when required.

    Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified/part qualified.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge

  • Advanced level Excel is required, along with the ability to learn quickly and work on your own initiative.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team.

  • A good understanding of budgets, product costing, financial controls and reporting;

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Forward-thinking and builds strong relationships with others and an ability to communicate clearly, collaboratively and persuasively.

  • Attention to detail and diligent

  • Ability to react quickly and re-organise work load.

  • Extensive experience of SAP FI/CO modules desirable.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
