Finance Business Partner

The Commercial FBP team is responsible for supporting the Commercial business in all aspects of Finance; this includes expense management & budgeting, revenue planning, new business modelling, project support and ad-hoc financial advice.,

• Ownership of various monthly revenue & expense reporting and forecasting processes, including the subsequent communication to key stakeholders
• Playing a key role in the annual expense budgeting process
• Working with the Commercial business to model new broker opportunities
• Broker override and profit share calculations
• Business performance and results evaluation and reporting
• Dealing with ad-hoc queries and requests from across the business; and
• Corporate projects & initiatives
  
  A good working knowledge of management accounting techniques
• Proven record of providing advice & support to senior stakeholders
• Experience of working with colleagues from non-finance areas of a business
• Advanced Excel skills; comfortable dealing with large volumes of data and experience of automating & improving complex numerical models
• Some existing knowledge of Insurance would be beneficial
• An aptitude for systems work is desirable
• Strong intellect and the ability to see the 'big picture' across the business
• Ability to interact and collaborate credibly at all levels in the organisation, including at senior management level
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated, positive and innovative; ability to use initiative and provide constructive challenge where necessary
• An ability to work under pressure and to achieve deadlines
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills
• CIMA/ACCA qualified
• Degree in relevant subject (Maths, Economics, Finance) preferred
