Full Job Description

We're looking for a passionate Finance Business Partner to partner with the Centre of Excellence team. You will be responsible for NGET's capital investment plan valuing at c£20bn over the next 10 years. Aimed at a high performing individual who is seeking to understand NGET's regulatory deal and understand how different components of the framework work in practice. This role involves working closely with the business and will provide insight into the strategic context underpinning what the NGET business does. It will provide understanding and an opportunity to contribute to NGET's key projects which deliver net zero as well as playing a key role in the development of the T3 regulatory Framework.,

  • Responsible for leading and managing a team of 3 people (Finance Partner, Finance Analyst and Graduate) across a wide variety of activities, including but not limited to, ET QRF Totex consolidation, Reopener Submissions, Cost Benefit Analysis.
  • Build effective relationships with the key business individuals, regulation and across wider finance and FP&A teams to trigger and deliver business improvements that enhance commercial performance.
  • Link business targets and imperatives to group strategy to ensure a strategic business plan that is strongly owned by the business and is suitably stretching but achievable.
  • Act as a centre of excellence for capital investment and commercial business decisions. Bringing clarity to complex commercial scenarios. Considering both commercial and business risks and broader strategic imperatives.
  • Ensure appropriate and robust control frameworks are in place covering the investment decision process. All parties understand their role and periodic testing is undertaken with corrective action as required.
  • Act as finance lead on RIIO-T2 Reopener and RIIO-T3 submissions, ensuring well justified, consistent costings and business cases are submitted to Ofgem, enabling optimal outcomes.

    A Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience.

  • A large part of this investment will be across the UK within the Electricity Transmission business where we maintain the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. We take electricity generated from windfarms and other power sources and transport it through our network of pylons, overhead lines, cables, and substations.     Up to £70,000 dependent on experience. Plus:
  • Up to 15% Annual Bonus (based on personal and company performance).
