This opportunity is being offered as a Band 6 Finance Business Partner development role. The successful candidate will be developed and supported in this role to progress through the agreed milestones, to reach the Senior Finance Business Partner role in the Team as a Band 7.
Should the successful candidate already demonstrate the relevant experience/qualifications in line with milestones, we will discuss with them at the offer stage the opportunity to join the team as a Band 7 Senior Finance Business Partner.
With the Trust's annual turnover of over £1.4 billion across 7 Clinical Management Groups (CMGs), 11 Directorates and around 12 ICB contracts to manage, this full-time permanent post offers a rare opportunity to work in a large Acute Trust's Finance & Commissioning function, bringing varied and rewarding challenges on a daily basis., Working across the three hospital sites in Leicestershire, the successful post holder will support the Head of Financial Management - Income in the delivery of all financial aspects of NHS contract income within the Trust including contract monitoring, performance reporting, negotiations with commissioners and assisting in the development and commissioning of new services within our CMGs.
The post offers exposure to all aspects of acute NHS healthcare, with opportunities to build relationships with ICB teams and the perspective that this gives, whilst also being part of a large acute trust delivering front line patient care across all specialties. The post holder will therefore need to be adaptable and be able to work closely with colleagues in all organisations and at all levels.
Whilst experience in financial management and commissioning should be demonstrated, the post holder will also benefit from the significant level of knowledge built up within the team and will continue to be supported and developed in the role.
The post holder will have direct line management responsibilities, including agreeing personal development plans, coherent objectives and regular appraisals and training.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Lead on:
Producing and reporting the Trust wide income financial position each month.
- Production of all month end reporting in line with Trust requirements and support the Head of Financial Management - Income in delivering meaningful performance analysis within both the Finance & Procurement Directorate and Trust Executive review including triangulation of financial and non-financial information to ensure a clear understanding of the drivers of the directorate income financial performance. The post holder will have a duty to inform key personnel within corporate directorates and Finance in a timely manner of their financial position and the key drivers.

- Support the development and maintenance of systems and processes to support financial performance management of the directorates. The post holder will support the Head of Financial Management - Income to implement and develop performance management techniques and support managers in having access to financial and non- financial business intelligence through the development of performance information.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
