Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Business Partner to join a busy team, with specific responsibility for contract monitoring, patient care income accounting and performance reporting., With the Trust's annual turnover of over £1.4 billion across 7 Clinical Management Groups (CMGs), 11 Directorates and around 12 ICB contracts to manage, this full-time permanent post offers a rare opportunity to work in a large Acute Trust's Finance & Commissioning function, bringing varied and rewarding challenges on a daily basis., Working across the three hospital sites in Leicestershire, the successful post holder will support the Head of Financial Management - Income in the delivery of all financial aspects of NHS contract income within the Trust including contract monitoring, performance reporting, negotiations with commissioners and assisting in the development and commissioning of new services within our CMGs.

The post offers exposure to all aspects of acute NHS healthcare, with opportunities to build relationships with ICB teams and the perspective that this gives, whilst also being part of a large acute trust delivering front line patient care across all specialties. The post holder will therefore need to be adaptable and be able to work closely with colleagues in all organisations and at all levels.

Whilst experience in financial management and commissioning should be demonstrated, the post holder will also benefit from the significant level of knowledge built up within the team and will continue to be supported and developed in the role.

The post holder will have direct line management responsibilities, including agreeing personal development plans, coherent objectives and regular appraisals and training.

Should the successful candidate already demonstrate the relevant experience/qualifications in line with milestones, we will discuss with them at the offer stage the opportunity to join the team as a Band 7 Senior Finance Business Partner.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

high-quality care for all, being a great place to work, partnerships for impact, and research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

we are compassionate, we are proud, we are inclusive, and we are one team. This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
