Full Job Description

At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft. As Finance Business Partner, reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, you will join our dedicated Finance team in supporting the Procurement, Planning and Logistics business areas. You will be responsible for the proactive management and control of the cost-base, whilst developing the financial reporting and accounting systems to meet business requirements at our GKN Aerospace Filton site. At GKN Aerospace we understand the importance of having work-life balance. This role offers a 37 hour week, with an early afternoon finish on Friday's and the opportunity to work from home up to two days per week, dependent on business needs. Help us to be the best at what we do!How You'll Contribute In this role you will be:

  • Monthly reporting, forecasting & budgeting for Procurement and OPL cost centres.
  • Monthly reporting & forecasting of sales and profitability for Filton Cross Dock parts.
  • Provide monthly analysis and forecasts of cost saving initiatives (cost reductions & rebates etc).
  • Monthly business area Finance review - prepare, present and facilitate.
  • Active support of Procurement material cost reduction projects.
  • Monthly review & analysis of PPV accounting entries; to include review of standard costs and arrange to have these updated with reasons.
  • Monthly/On-going review of Enabled Materials - check supplier submissions for accuracy, track on-going costs with correct accounting treatment and provide commercial with information required to pass on costs to AUK.
  • Business partner with the Heads of Business & their team, supporting any ad hoc requests.
  • Provide monthly cost allocation, analysis and forecasting of AGS spend.
  • Ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and maintained and acting as the conscience of the business ensuring that general controls and processes are adhered to in business areas in line with FRCA.
  • Assist in the development of finance reporting systems. Fully support and develop continuous improvement activities to ensure that improvements are captured, validate & reported.
  • Develop financial knowledge of non-financial managers within the business as appropriate.
  • Adhoc reporting & any other duties as required.

    Qualified or Finalist Accountant with a professional accountancy certification CIMA, ACA or ACCA
  • Experience of business partnering.
  • Proficient in using MS Excel and experienced in PivotTable, VLOOKUP and data analysis
  • Desirable
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, PLC manufacturing environment.
  • Previous working experience of SAP
