Full Job Description

The Trading Partner CnC and InD team is part of the TPF Tower within Global Finance Services in GSK. The team is responsible for delivering financial reporting, compliance and control services of the in-scope Trading Partner Entities. Additionally, the team is responsible for delivering the Invoicing and SAP Data service corresponding to B2B invoicing through the trading partner entities. The activities of the Trading Partner entities principally cover the procurement, supply, import and export from API to finished products for intercompany + 3rd party cross border transactions in GSK and in total have a turnover of circa £20 bn pa and inventory of >£1.5 bn. As Finance Business Partner, Trading Partner Finance, you will provide financial decision-making support to Trading Partner Finance leadership would that be in the current operations or new business, investment or divestment. You will work with key stakeholders and wider GSK teams to identify cost & quality improvement initiatives, adding real value to the Business.,

  • Deputise for the FD when required including representation to the Boards, Forums, Councils, RMCBs, etc.
  • Act as trusted advisor to the business leaders providing decision supports/ insights and mitigation options to achieve performance targets.
  • Work closely with the TPF C&C Team and TPF teams and all departments involved in the TPF activities as well as TPF Senior stakeholders to understand market insights and translate them into financial metrics & KPI's.
  • Help CnC and InD team to achieve a robust control environment including L1 and L2 KPIs and SoX Cycle targets. Collaborate on control remediation activities where required.
  • Ownership of the entity P&L for the Trading Partner entities. Shape the P&L by providing key analysis for statutory and group purposes.
  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior management and their teams - this includes Board members, SVP & VPs.
  • Support the team in the Hub to develop capabilities and understanding of the TPF world and deliver the CnC and InD activities.
  • Provide oversight of internal and external audits in pursual of FD and auditors sign off.

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • University Graduate with Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Deep financial management experience
  • Significant demonstratable experience in senior leadership roles
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels across the organization
  • Experience working with client groups with ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at various levels
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrix environment
  • Strong team building skills
  • Ability to establish a high level of credibility and forge strong working relationships with senior internal and third-party stakeholders
  • Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Significant experience working in a large global organization
  • Healthcare/ Pharmaceutical Industry experience
  • Experience of working with and delivering results with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated risk management, process improvement, and project management skills
  • Experience with SAP and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley preferable
