Finance Director

You will lead the Group Finance function, including managing a small team, and oversee the preparation of and presentation of monthly management accounts, plus the purchase ledger payment, supplier contracts and maintaining company assets. You will also liaise with the bank and auditors, and provide strategic advice and insight to the board. Ideas for process improvements will be welcomed, as will taking a long-term view of how the company can grow and continue to provide excellent service to its customers. This role is full-time onsite., You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or be qualified by experience, and will have experience as a finance leader within a small business where you have owned the finance function. You will have experience of working closely with senior stakeholders and would be comfortable presenting ideas to a board of directors, and will have managed a small finance team, nurturing talent, and spotting potential for development. Experience in the insurance industry is desirable, but not essential.

You will be joining a collaborative, friendly, team who are passionate about providing excellent customer service in a business that is financially stable and eager to hire a Finance Director to stay with them long-term, with the view that you will soon join the board as Group FD. You will receive a salary up to £85K, plus bonus and car / car allowance, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, generous pension, and other benefits including death in service and private medical.
