Full Job Description
- As the Finance Director - Financial Control, you will be responsible for regulatory reporting, financial reporting, technical accounting, tax, accounts payable, risk and controls, systems, transformation and operational aspects of Metro Bank's Finance function
- Ensure that the timely and accurate financial information is provided to internal and external stakeholders (including but not limited to Exco, Board, Markets and Regulators)
- Drive process improvement through redesign and automation
- Continued improvement of the regulatory reporting, financial reporting, tax, and financial systems aspects of the Finance function, including operating model, processes and systems
- Provide technical counsel and support to the wider finance team
- Advise on prudential regulatory requirements
A strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory regime, technical accounting and regulatory capital requirements - Excellent technical understanding of Banking and how to lead complex processes with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience of communicating and influencing stakeholders both individually and in forums such as ExCo, ROC, Audit Committee
- Experience of developing and managing a team of direct reports and having oversight of their technical remits
- Excellent attention to detail, combined with problem solving skills and managing multiple deadlines
- Professional Accountancy qualification or equivalent
