Full Job Description

Mitie are currently looking for a Finance Manager to be on our new contract with EY.

The Finance manager will be responsible for delivering the profit and loss for the business along with management of the balance sheet, including accurately and timely reporting to the BU and as part of the Group reporting timetable. Ensuring all revenue is recognized and reported in line with Group revenue recognition policy and maintaining ultimate responsibility of the accuracy of the cost recognition, including the accurate postings of intercompany recharges. They will be the key point of contact for the Operational Management team providing insight into the business performance.

Main Duties

Being the Finance Manager for Mitie you will manage the profit and loss ensuring AR and AP are transacted correctly, balance sheet reconciled monthly and bank postings to be posted accurately and reconciled timely.

Part of this role also includes ensuring stock valuation auditable and accurately reflected in monthly P&L and ensure WIP and PO's managed and reported accurately.

Support unblocking aged working capital where relevant, preparation of VAT returns and supervising finance assistant. As well as head BU monthly performance review calls and support with BU with forecast and AOP analysis and preparation.

Additional duties could include but are not limited too supporting other team members and supporting BU with adhoc requests.

What we are looking for

  • Part qualified or studying (AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent), with a keen interest in understanding business and its contracts and identifying opportunities for improvements

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, good written, verbal and presentational skills, and adept at problem solving

  • Previous experience within a commercially based or management accounting role would be advantageous
