Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a highly competent and experienced Finance Manager to work in a busy, professional and friendly office, based on the outskirts of Crystal Palace, This role will report into the MD & Senior Management Team, so will require someone who takes full accountability in the role & will fully immerse themselves into this key role; familiarising yourself with all areas of the company, such as; staff and its products, current and future work, to ensure you have a complete understanding of the past, & present business and also forecasting and budgeting for future business to ensure maximum growth and profit along the way Covering all aspects of the running the company finances including everything up to Trial Balance including; VAT, Fixed assets, supplier payments, bank reconciliations, accruals, CIS payments, POD'S Credit limits -, Corp Tax payments. HMRC payments, etc & working with Sage 50 is essential, and Eque2 would be beneficial This will suit someone who as a passion for all things accounting, almost like an auditor, who has a sharp eye for the books, can spot an anomaly and whose strength lies in running very efficient, well organised and ordered accounts dept, for submission to their Accountant The company have plans for expansion and growth over the next 3-5 years - so they are looking for an Finance Manager who has this experience to take them to the next level This role also offers great career potential as the company grows, so will this role and the finance team around you. GENERAL DUTIES;-

  • Managing company bank accounts, scheduling payments etc
  • VAT returns
  • Supplier payment requests and authorisation
  • Managing fixed asset register
  • Customer invoice payments
  • Final Accounts
  • Depreciation
  • End of year adjustments
  • Accruals,
  • Prepayments
  • Accounts Receivable (Treasury) Monthly
  • Annual Accounts
  • Forecasting
  • Management Accounts

    The role will suit someone who is looking to work locally in South London, and who has a comprehensive financial and accounting background, commercially aware, preferably with some Accounting qualifications & ideally having worked within any of the following areas; construction, electrical, industrial or mechanical engineering., Someone with experience of all of the above duties
  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA ideally SAGE 50
