Finance Manager

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Finance Manager, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., To provide managers with financial information and reports to enable effective service delivery and planning.
To provide trend commentary and financial projections in relation to core budgets and grant funding.
To provide information to assist in the procurement and tendering process for the purchase of goods and services,
To develop and maintain management information systems to record key service activity.
To assist in the monitoring and analysis of performance data, financial and management information.

Good general level of Education
Varied financial services background
Experience:
Significant experience in a first line management (supervisory) role.
Experience of using database system, Microsoft applications and in handling large spreadsheets.
Experienced in the use of SAP or similar electronic purchasing and accountancy system.
Knowledge and experience of responding to financial and other FOI requests
Experience of using CareFirst or similar electronic management information and recording system.
Cash handling
Experience of working with Corporate Accountancy
Knowledge and experience of Reconciliation of accounts
