If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you., + Support the delivery of timely and accurate reporting of financial performance across the East Region and NHSE.
+ Support in the provision of high quality financial information, advice and support to the wider specialised commissioning team, 6 regional ICBs and NHSE.
+ Support month-end close down process according to agreed timescales.
+ Support the development and monitoring of provider contracts for the agreed areas of responsibility.
+ Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Business Intelligence, Pharmacy, Commissioning and Contract managers to support provider contracts and service development.
+ Support the team's role in the annual financial planning process.
+ Support the appraisals of business cases including provision of financial information for the development of business cases and bid
For further information on the responsibilities and scope of the role and the person specification, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification document., As a Finance Manager, the post holder will work within the Specialised Commissioning Finance team in NHS England - East region and in 2025/26 within a centralised hub hosted by Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB (BLMK).
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting internal and external stakeholders across the 6 ICBs within the East region and NHS England to:
+ Deliver an effective service supporting managers and staff across the systems to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe services in line with local and national policy objectives.
+ Support the team to develop and deliver effective financial plans for all aspects of specialised services which support overall delivery of national and local priorities and work within available funding to support specialised commissioning.
+ Undertake financial and information analysis across a range of services, including and not limited to, budget setting and monitoring, reconciliations and activity and cost analysis.
+ Support on financial and information analysis across a range of services, including, but not limited to, budget setting and contract monitoring, and activity and cost analysis.
+ Support the delivery of the management accounts function within the remit of the post.
+ Support the provision of a regular financial position, forecast and risks assessments within the remit of the post.
+ Support the provision of accurate monthly provider payments schedules to the ICBs and NHSE.
+ Support the monitoring of provider contracts within the remit
