Full Job Description

The Finance Manager role works with the wider team to ensure processing and tracking of vendor invoices, financial reporting accuracy and contribute to an effective internal control environment. The Accounting & Finance manager plays a critical role in the monthly close process by demonstrating ownership mindset and high level of responsibility over the accounts. The role will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders. This role is critical in maintaining consistency in the finance and accounting functions across all regions of the company, supporting global initiatives, and interacting with key internal and external stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following: Accounting Oversight:

  • Support US team in information requirements from Europe.
  • Assist on VAT and Tax returns.
  • Ensure accurate logging and processing of purchase invoices in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Deal with and respond to vendor queries in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Monitor employee related costs for payroll, pensions, tax and national insurance.
  • Accounting Compliance and Control:
  • Organize legal entity invoicing and filings required with external parties.
  • Operate and maintain strong internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings.
  • Tax Coordination:
  • Support tax department to ensure compliance with European tax laws and regulations.
  • Cash and Equity Management:
  • Support effective cash flow management and liquidity planning, in partnership with the Treasury department.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Operate and maintain the P2P process in collaboration with other QTS departments and Blackstone. R2R processes and O2C will follow.
  • Share best practices and process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments, such as pre-development, development, operations, procurement, and IT, to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Any other reasonable requests made by the Vice President of Accounting & Finance, Europe or the Finance Director, Europe
  • What success looks like in 12 months' time:
  • Operational P2P process, ensuring all vendor ledgers up to date, commitments known, invoices accurately coded and positive feedback from wider team.
  • Help to develop Workday functionality to be as automated as possible and documented process notes.
  • Demonstrable strong working relationships developed with all QTS departments.

    BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting required.
  • Four or more years of experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas and in a fast-paced environment., Four-five or more years of experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Two or more years of Management experience.
  • Workday experience or other large ERP systems.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • A strategic thinker with an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial processes.
  • Ability to adapt to/effect change, and welcome new challenges.
  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with automated accounting systems.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-pace work environment.
  • Must have the ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across functions.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones is essential.
