We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team as Finance Manager - FP&A, This role is a key contributor in driving both in-year and longer-term profitable growth for the HBI group, whilst also having the opportunity to significantly impact the FP&A functional strategy.

Day to day, the role holder is responsible forsupporting the delivery of monthly reporting and the financial planning processes (budget, forecasting and strategic planning) for the Holland & Barrett group of companies (HBI)

A key component is responsibility for contributing to the FP&A Centre of Excellence, being a team member who is executing end-to-end financial planning, including in-year and 3 Year strategic planning, alongside standard financial reporting. The role will play a key role in working cross functionally to identify P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow opportunities, shape in year and longer-term plans, andguide the business to a sustainable P&L supporting the growth aspirations.

The role holder will have the opportunity to contribute to delivering the Function's Vision and purpose, helping to shape and execute transformation plans and initiatives.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Key player within planning processes (budget, reforecasts, long term plan) - owning the budget models and consolidation

  • Contributing to financial storyboards and commentary

  • Drive improvements to planning processes and models.

  • Support preparation of presentations for an audience of the Senior Leadership Team, Exec, Board and Shareholders

  • Influence colleagues across Finance and the wider business to hit deadlines and deliverables.


  • Reporting
  • Lead coordination across a month end close

  • Coordinate month end reporting, owning consolidation models

  • Identify and drive process improvements and working in collaboration with Finance Transformation programme

  • Key contributor to the Exec Pack reporting and co-ordination of submissions across the team

  • Support the improvement of reporting output (i.e. reports to the Exec, Board and Shareholders) to be more relevant, well-presented and user-friendly, to guide the business to drive performance

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements, control, compliance and accounting standards

  • Contributing to Investor reporting

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, including the broader Accounting & Finance team

  • Working relationships include - Senior Finance Manager FP&A, Head of Finance FP&A, Group Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer (line manager and upwards hierarchy). Finance Business Partners across UK&I, Benelux, International, H&B&ME and Cost Excellence ( Group Finance Director, Head of Financial Control, Head of Financial Systems, Senior Tax Manager (the Group Finance leadership team) and their teams.

    Multi-site consumer experience essential - either in a plc or PE backed environment.

  • Planning and, ideally, reporting experience at group level in a medium or large sized consumer business.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset - determination to improve processes and overcome hurdles rather than expecting everything to work perfectly.

  • A highly methodical and organised approach, with the ability to deliver processes to tight deadlines and influence others to do the same.

  • Finance and Accounting Principles: In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial analysis.
