Finance Manager - Halton Community Combined School

This is a full time role, 37 hours per week during term time as well as working on school inset days. Start and finish times are negotiable as we are aware that everyone has commitments away from work as well.

The school finance manager is responsible for all aspects of the school's financial management and compliance, human resources, GDPR regulations, contractors and administration.

They will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently. In partnership with the headteacher, manage the school's budget and ensure it is balanced, realistic, and represents an effective use of public funds.

• Experience of working in finance and budget management


• Knowledge and competence of Microsoft Excel, Word, Office Outlook and other IT systems



• Expert knowledge of financial management


• Excellent organisation and attention to detail


• Previous use of FMS and SIMS (desirable but not essential)


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to build effective working relationships with staff and other stakeholders
