Full Job Description

In our team we deal with the Digital side to Music, this involves working with Warner Music's Digital Service Providers, such as Apple Music and Spotify. Reporting to the Director and within a team of 9, you'll be taking ownership of the international royalty flow accounting. Why this could be your next big break: A key member of the finance team, the role works closely with international business finance, London-based International business units and the WMG Corporate office, based in New York. Your main activities will include accounting for international business including associated transfer pricing revenue and costs. Here you'll get to:

  • Oversee the implementation of Group Transfer Pricing policy, collaborating with teams across the world to ensure compliance with underlying agreements and group accounting policies.
  • Review and approve monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Complete quarterly and annual supplemental schedules for submission and review by management and Corporate Finance in the US.
  • Collaborate with several departments and stakeholders such as Legal, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Finance, and our international labels within Recorded Music.
  • Contribute to the production of the Financial Statements and resolution of external audit queries.
  • Support and manage a team of 2 part-qualified accountants.
  • Collaborate with our in-house project team to assist in legacy issue resolution to improve the clarity of the management accounts.
  • Develop and improve controls and processes for SOX compliance including implementation of such improvements where possible.
  • Assist with the ongoing ERP implementation (transition to SAP), liaising with the transformation team.
