Full Job Description

There is now an exciting opportunity to join the Trust's finance team as a Finance Manager (IT, EPR & Digital Projects) within the corporate team. As the principal finance contact for the corporate operational division, this is a vital role in ensuring the effective use of the division's financial resources. This post will also provide a full range of advice to the Senior Management Team to ensure budgets are appropriately maintained and financial results are reported accurately.,

  • To have overall responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting, management and control within the outlined project areas, including monitoring of performance against budget and providing advice on corrective action as necessary;

  • To ensure appropriate financial management support to project budget holders, timely administration of budget and accrual adjustments along with provision of reports to budget holders. This to include both capital and revenue costs;

  • To provide financial information, advice and support to the project team, meeting regularly with project workstream leads, to ensure that the financial position of the project is clearly understood and that any potential financial problems are identified early enough for corrective action to be taken;

  • To ensure the monthly reporting of financial results is robust, accurate and produced in a timely manner for presentation to the relevant monthly reporting, performance meetings or executive boards and to ensure appropriate support is provided to finance colleagues;

  • To provide robust variance analysis for the relevant monthly reporting, performance meetings or executive boards ensuring that appropriate reasons and trends for variances are identified and explained;

  • To have overall responsibility for the in year and future year project capital and revenue forecast to inform the annual and strategic planning process.

    This is an important role within Moorfields Eye Hospital whereby the successful applicant would find themselves working closely with Senior Leadership and Board members in an interesting and challenging setting. Applicants must be qualified within a CCAB body with considerable experience in Financial Management and an ability to command credibility and respect from operational managers and colleagues up to Board level.
