As a Finance Manager - Supply Chain at OB you will proactively business partner departments across the business, providing sound financial insight, challenge and influence to ensure decisions are made in the best interests of the business. Key responsibilities include providing financial analysis, controlling costs and identifying opportunities, forecasting and reporting with a particular focus on supply chain; including warehouse, shipping, buying and merchandising with additional touch points in people and data. With an exciting mix of commercial finance, planning and forecasting, accounting and reporting you will work with team members across the business from the COO and heads of department to team leaders and junior finance team members. As such this role gives the ability to fully immerse yourself in the heart of the business and really understand what makes OB tick. Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We offer hybrid working with a split of 3 days in the office and 2 days home working per week, and are open to having conversations about working flexibly. More about the role … An OB Finance Manager will:

  • Manage the company's supply chain cost structure, covering stock, shipping, warehousing, and distribution costs.
  • Work hand in hand with the warehouse and fulfilment heads of department on all areas of spend including staffing, internal and outbound distribution, and consumable costs
  • Develop internal activity costing methodologies and model new proposals, to better understand the financial impact of operational decisions on the business
  • Conduct analysis and present findings to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for business improvements
  • Collaborate with key team members around the business to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes
  • Set up and maintain full cost analytics for each warehouse to understand performance
  • Prepare all warehouse teams staffing reporting on both hours and costs including month end agency accounting
  • Reconcile stock between systems and deep dive into variances. Develop our processes and team member training around stock invoice matching and discrepancy resolution
  • Reconcile inbound shipping costs actuals to system to ensure aligned and work with shipping and merchandising teams to improve costing accuracy and control
  • Lead annual budgeting process for all aspects of warehouse teams costs and stock, freight and duty costs.
  • Work with warehouse, shipping, QC and finance teams to ensure data captured and recorded in our business systems is accurate.
  • Work with warehouse, data, buying and merchandising teams on decision making on space planning and stock clearance strategies
  • Review stock levels and components of landed margin against forecast
  • Input into preparation of monthly reporting packs, preparing relevant figures and commentary. Work with finance team to develop reporting and business storytelling to bring the numbers to life
  • Support with year end procedures, analysis and reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function
  • Contribute to the annual and ad hoc forecasting processes
  • Support with implementation of new finance and forecasting system and its continuous improvement

    Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA
  • Experience in the management of senior level, non-finance stakeholders and be able to present financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Highly organised, strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Inquisitive and combines attention to detail with broader business understanding
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong user of finance systems and business systems with keen interest in maximising their potential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines
