Finance Officer

We are seeking to recruit an Finance Officer who will provide support to the Finance Manager in daily/monthly tasks and provide financial account support services.

This role will be based full-time in our Cardiff office.

The role of a Finance Officer includes the following responsibilities:

• Supporting the co-ordination of accountancy information and assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, to include balance sheets reconciliations


• Input of journals


• Using the Sage software package to prepare monthly salaries, - deal with payroll queries and ongoing updates


• Dealing with confidential financial matters relating to the Practice


• Operating financial reminder and bring forward systems


• Maintaining financial databases and updating financial spreadsheets


• To be conversant in tax, national insurance and VAT rules of the UK


• To cover purchase ledger and credit control in staff absence
  
  Manage conflicting demands and time effectively


• Continually improve processes


• Communicate and work with other team members to achieve deadlines, Relevant Finance qualifications desirable


• AAT membership desirable but not essential


• Workday experience is preferred but not require


• Experience in Finance Management, ideally gained in professional services environments, profit & loss statements and balance sheet


• Experience of using project driven ERP packages
