Full Job Description

Tolworth Girls' School & Sixth Form is a World Class School with high expectations, encouraging our students to be aspirational with their learning and to enjoy all aspects of school life. We are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Officer to join our friendly and efficient Finance team.

Based on site, you will be working alongside the Senior Finance Officer and Head of Finance to process the day-to-day financial administration. You will prepare and process data using the Academy's finance system, administering purchase orders and invoices; documenting goods received for payment and checking for accuracy to resolve any disputes. You will liaise with key stakeholders including students and parents; budget holders and suppliers.

There will of course be monthly processing and reconciliations, plus reporting and updates; your routine tasks and of course ad-hoc jobs that you would expect from a fast paced, key role in a busy Academy School. Our Finance system is PS Financials; we also use Parent Pay, Lloyds Bank and ARBOR as well as the Microsoft suite. A full job description is attached.

Our ideal candidate will be well educated, highly organised with great attention to detail. Essentially, you will have up to date knowledge of all Microsoft packages and be comfortable using online portals. You will have some relevant experience of working in a financial setting. You will be a team player, approachable, motivated and proactive, willing to learn and progress.

This post is full-time permanent working 36 hours per week over 5 days. This post has a full-time starting salary of £27,172.00 - £29,790.00 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications, rising in annual increments to £32,654.00 per annum. This includes 23 days paid annual leave, which must be taken during periods of school closure, plus 8 bank holidays.
