Full Job Description

Working as part of the UK/IE regional service team in close cooperation with our Headquarters Commercial Controlling, this role is responsible for maintaining an accurate overview and forecast of the UK/IE regional finances within the service department, creating ongoing transparency of the current financial status and regional risks and opportunities This role also supports the operational teams with budgeting, financial analysis, as well as driving cost reductions/productivity within the region.,

  • Supporting the service team to deliver annual financial targets
  • Supporting the service team with clear financial tools & analysis, facilitating better decision making, and more accurate forecasts
  • Establishing and owning process for "look ahead reviews" to identify financial risks
  • Developing forecasting process to gain visibility by wind farm, and understand key financial levers
  • Developing and maintaining key financial metrics per SCO [LG1]
  • Co-ordinating and leading on the annual budget process for the service team
  • Supporting collation of monthly financial data for review and working closely with the finance team to suggest improvements
  • Ensuring all costs are forecast, provisioned and reconciled ensuring you are working closely with the finance team to ensure they meet audit requirements
  • Co-ordinating with the Finance team to lead AR process within Service team
  • Creation of target orientated regular financial reports
  • Monitoring, regularly updating and reporting of the financial forecasts for the region service department
  • Monitoring of revenues and costs for the regional service department
  • Monitoring of open purchase order status and process
  • Monitoring and forecasting of CAPEX and CAPEX process
  • Supporting Operations managers with monitoring and forecasting of costs and overheads in order to stay on track with budget and forecast
  • Supporting Heads of Service with tracking of Financial KPIs at Country and CSO level in order to stay on track with budget and forecast
  • Monitoring of working capital in cooperation with Country finance departments
  • Implementing tenders & RFQs for subcontractors and other high volume works with Supply chain manager
  • Working with Service Director to develop annual targets
  • Owning the productivity targets for the region and support operations teams in delivering them
  • Building accurate data for Job costs and provide analysis across SCO's & RFS
  • Owning continuous improvement of financial planning process to ensure resources and financials are captured for UK & Ireland and ensure it is consistently applied throughout the region.
  • Establish and own process for "look ahead reviews" to help identify future financial/resources risks for the immediate financial year

    The successful candidate will have significant experience in a similar role working in the on-shore wind industry or renewable energy sector. You will have strong financial analysis experience and hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
  • You will have strong experience in financial analysis, project resource planning and developing and executing budgets. You will have proven leadership skills and have excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills. You will also have previous experience of managing a team. Other attributes required for this role include:

  • Please note there is a requirement to travel on a regular basis which will include nights away from home.
