Full Job Description
The Finance Project Accountant will be responsible for the completion of critical "must achieve" financial accounting tasks and projects. These will cover technical financial accounting, cashflow reporting, balance sheet, tax and treasury related improvement areas in addition to other similar areas as required. The role will also be involved in providing support to the annual external Group audit and other related processes. Please note that while the role can be performed remotely majority of the time, it would require occasional travel to our London and Portsmouth offices when needed and candidates must be prepared to do this at a time of audit.,
- Deliver on the following types of projects which will vary over time: + Documentation and roll-out of the actuals cashflow reporting process across the R2R teams globally, ensuring effective reporting and controls in place within a complex Group structure + Working with FP&A and Group Finance Reporting team to design and develop a robust monthly cashflow statement for each of the 5 key business streams and tracker tool to capture movements from ledger to stakeholder reporting + Developing internal control and governance processes for Balance Sheet reconciliation open item tracking to closure, and identify improvements in overall balance sheet integrity + Working with offshore finance, working capital teams and R2R, review reconciliation of source to ERP system process, identify cash allocation process improvements, KPI's and provide coaching to embed internal controls + Support on accounting aspects of tax projects + Support on other adhoc projects as required
- Support the refresh of the IFRS9 ECL provisions across the Group for year end reporting
- Support primarily the EMEA Finance R2R and Group Finance teams in maintaining a strong external audit interface, audit progress and provision of high quality, accurate deliverables from audit inception to closure on a day-day basis. Oversee implementing recommendations and closure of findings.
- Support embedding an internal financial controls framework across core finance

- Accountability Adhoc duties As requested by your Line Manager or relevant Board Director, the Job Holder will perform reasonable ad hoc duties within the Job Holder's capabilities.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with c2 years post qualification experience and from a Top 10 audit firm background and experience of working on complex international businesses
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, working experience of IFRS and auditing procedures
- Deep understanding of finance processes and workflows
- Affinity with accounting systems. Highly numerate with excellent organization, communication skills, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Excellent analytical and detailed problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for conveying internal control and risk matters to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to speak English fluently.
- Ability to prioritise and work under a tight schedule.
