Full Job Description
Reporting into the Finance Systems Manager, the Finance Systems Data Assistant will be a subject matter expert for creating, amending and maintaining Master Data records in a timely and efficient manner. They will execute the process in line with the Group procedures and according to the internal and external audit requirements. They should possess strong analytical and attention to detail skills to assess data quality/integrity and support continuous improvement in ways of working for the team and suggest improvements to business and data processes. As part of the Group Finance division, they will work as part of a team to ensure robust financial control and processes are adhered to.
- New Account Set Ups (Suppliers & Customers)
- Account Amendments (Suppliers & Customers)
- Bank Detail Verifications, Verbally & Through Banking Portals
- Data Management/Maintenance, Including System Imports
- Day to Day Query Management Including Mailboxes
- Training & Upskilling New Recruits
- User Data Management in Procurement System
- Data Reporting
Background working with large sets of data & a good working knowledge of excel. - Presenting to internal stakeholders & buildings relationships.
- Interest in aspects of finance & business controls.
- Self-starter who is keen to learn and expand finance & business knowledge.
- Attention to detail, ensuring 'right first time' approach.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Strong organisational effectiveness skills.
