Full Job Description

Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of monthly revenue results for the UK Business Internet of Things (IoT) line of business. IoT is a network of things such as household appliances or industrial tools connected through the internet. They have sensors, software and other technologies that allow them to exchange data with other devices and systems, and range from basic items like trackers for your keys, to complex measurement and monitoring technology. This role ensure that accounting records are kept appropriately and that the reported results comply with accounting standards and relevant legislation. The ideal candidate will possess analytical capabilities and have suitable technical accounting knowledge. Able to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

  • Delivering the monthly production of and reporting of mobile EBU results in the P&L and Balance sheet for revenue and direct costs.
  • Responsible for calculating and posting journals.
  • Reconciling and ensuring accurate revenue reporting. Ensure queries are addressed.
  • Perform analysis of results to ensure completeness / accuracy explaining key MoM drivers.
  • Communicate detailed analysis of the results to the business (Finance Decision Support)
  • Reconciliation of balance sheets, identifying risks and opportunities, ensuring actions are made as appropriate on a timely basis.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with SOX requirements and promote a highly controlled and accurate working environment. Ensure balance sheets consistency and integrity.
  • Contribute to delivery of ad hoc projects, process improvements.

    Core accounting experience in revenue and margin
  • The ability to work to daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Comfortable operating at speed with short deadlines
  • Communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative and consultative mindset
  • Ideally to have part or full accounting qualification
  • MS Excel - highly proficient
