Full Job Description

Our finance team based in Ashby de la Zouch has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and data driven Financial Accountant where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records through a variety of accounting and reconciliation activities.

This is a hybrid role, Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into Financial Accounting Manager and working closely with the Head of Financial Accounting you will focus on ensuring the accuracy and compliance of various financial activities, including payroll, VAT returns, preparing and processing of journals, intercompany transactions, and treasury functions.

Your role will also involve auditing, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and supporting colleagues with accounting processes while ensuring adherence to group standards and regulations.

You will participate in the audit process and serve as a key point of contact for audit-related information. This role will be deeply involved in driving continuous process improvement.

You will be actively involved in providing comprehensive training and ongoing support to colleagues.

Our ideal candidate will have proven financial accounting experience.

You will be an excellent communicator, a logical thinker and a natural problem solver. It goes without saying that you will be IT literate with good working knowledge of accounting and reporting software and proficient with MS Excel. A background in auditing is required.

Being ACA or ACCA qualified and experience with SAP is essential.
