Full Job Description

As Senior Financial Accountant your main responsibility is to take ownership of the full financial administration of the UK entities. Additionally, you will be supporting the audit and improvement projects. Overall responsibilities will include:

  • Daily accounting for Fastned UK entities including reviewing of incoming invoices, open PO management for accruals, preparation of payment runs and journal postings;
  • Performing all month end close activities and monitoring of trial balance data;
  • Assisting with the preparation of group and subsidiary statutory accounts, including files and information for our auditors;
  • Preparing monthly indirect tax filings and other tax requirements;
  • Debtor and creditor management and follow up of overdue items;
  • Managing local statutory audit and reviewing local annual financial statements;
  • Supporting the project for the setup and management of the joint venture with Places for London;
  • Contributing to improving financial procedures and work practices in a rapidly growing business environment.

    We are looking for someone who is an initiator and takes ownership on tasks assigned. A keen eye for details and critical thinking are of great help in keeping our financial records up to date and accurate.
  • Additionally, you tick the following boxes:
  • 5-8 years relevant experience in as financial accountant or similar role;
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or related qualifications such as ACCA etc.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax compliance requirements;
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus;
  • Hands on, outgoing and proactive mentality, ability to work independently;
  • Proven experience working with accounting systems;
  • You have a genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned's mission.
