Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our Finance department as Financial Accountant (Wholesale). The role will support the financial accounting for a Prax Petroleum Limited and a supervisory oversight of the P2P and O2C activities. Reporting to the Wholesale Controller, the postholder's key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Work in close partnership with the London office and the offshore teams to prepare the mass balance and month end inventory
- Ensure timely review and close of month end accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers, intercompany and prepayment account reconciliations
- Support review and analysis of monthly cost accruals
- Support preparation of monthly reporting packs and understand key underlying business trends to support continuous financial and operational improvement
- Support timely VAT return submission
- Support the Head of Industrial & Commercial UK Downstream to prepare budgets and forecasts
- Support the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors
- To actively participate in driving forward best practice and to provide support and encouragement to the members of the offshore team
- Other ad-hoc finance related duties
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred - Experience in management accounting or financial accounting activities preferable
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Strong General Ledger system skills, experience in SAP B1 is desirable.
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines and adapts to business needs
