Financial Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, this role is at the heart of maintaining financial control and accurate reporting. These key responsibilities will represent the core of the role, with scope for considerable further development, and an opportunity to support projects as we continue to transform the finance function. Financial Reporting

• Month end reporting and business partnering other stakeholders in the business, to product accurate and detailed reporting.
• Month end consolidation of company results (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for external stakeholders - particularly investors and lenders.
• Preparing year end statutory workings and liaising with external auditors.
• Preparing the year end consolidation and group accounts, which will include assisting with the accounting for new acquisitions in the group.
• Key role in the monthly review and management of the company's balance sheets as part of sound financial control.
• Management of inter-company positions between Caffè Nero's international entities (Poland, Turkey, Ireland, UAE, USA, Cyprus, Croatia) and development of international reporting.
• Undertake other projects on an ad hoc basis as required.
Tax
• Quarterly VAT return and on-going monitoring of processes.
• Working with external advisors to manage other tax obligations.
• Support all tax compliance matters and projects.
General
• As a member of the Financial Accounting team, every day responsibilities will include supporting other areas of Finance and the wider business with queries.
  
  You will be a fully qualified accountant, preferably with accounts prep and tax background in practice. You will now be looking to take the next step in your career. You will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Brilliant communication and organisation skills - you'll be proactive and professional.
• The ability and confidence to share knowledge and contribute ideas to improve work areas.
• IT literacy with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment.
• Adaptability to change and refocus priorities.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on your own initiative.
