Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the Guinness team. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy based in our London Euston Road office, we are currently working to a hybrid working style. This is a senior role within the Finance team, and you will ensure that reporting requirements are met, a sound control environment exists and support the delivery of continuous improvement projects in financial accounting, tax and control. You will play a key role in the year end and audit process and support the preparation of statutory accounts compliant with relevant standards. You will be joining a strong team and be taking the lead on complex technical areas and add real value to the organisation.

We're a customer-focussed organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will have a strong technical background but we do not need you to be an expert in all relevant accounting and tax standards, we are looking for someone who is motivated to learn and develop themselves with us. You'll also be able to demonstrate: Essential:

  • Recent experience of statutory financial reporting and audit either in a practice or industry role.
  • Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Proven experience of leading on the preparation of financial statements for audit and the application of accounting standards.
  • Experience of reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results.
  • Experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliation.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials.
  • Experience of tax either in industry or practice.
  • Relevant experience within the social housing sector., CCAB or CIMA qualification.
