This role

will form part of the EMEA Finance Reporting Team,

responsible for managing and supporting the financial reporting process for EMEA, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Insight SOX and reporting guidelines and preparation of financial reporting statements and disclosures.

The position holder will play a key role in supporting the drive to improvement of policies and processes across EMEA to strengthen the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting, maintaining a system of auditable accounting records and to act as expert and go to person for financial reporting policies and guidelines and in particular, for accounting standards across EMEA.

Key responsibilities:

-Representing the EMEA Financial Reporting Function to meet the financial, regulatory and compliance reporting requirements for all EMEA entities:
-Manage and maintain the general ledger, and delivering financial reporting within agreed timescales to local (and global) finance stakeholders, paying particular attention to (where applicable):
-Revenue (Recognition of Revenue, Gross and Net revenue reporting, Segmental reporting)
-Integrity of data supporting the Revenue Recognition Process
-Gross and Net Revenue reporting guidance and application
-Financial Reporting of Revenue by segment, line of business etc.
-Costs appropriately recognised in line with accepted accounting policies and principles.
-Collaboration with SME's in the preparation of financial statements.
-Balance sheet accounts fully reconciled and substantiated, with review actions followed up and resolved.
-Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated reporting and disclosures for EMEA (Quarter End -10Q and Year End 10K Reporting for the EMEA region)
-Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulations and SOX requirements through managing the application of our existing SOX processes and implementing/facilitating ongoing improvements:
-Documentation and guidance: Greater clarity and detail in the guidance and testing of the controls
-Risk assessment: Identification and management of areas of high risk
-Completeness and accuracy of Source data - integrity of data supporting our processes.
-Act as Subject Matter Expert and go to person for the application of Insight Accounting Policies, adoption of new policies and SOX Requirements.
-Planning and implementing of new policies and guidelines and/or continuous improvement of existing processes and guidelines through improved documentation and alignment and streamlining of processes globally.
-Adopting and communicating consistent application of policies across EMEA.
-Being an active member of a team championing operational excellence through continuous improvement and change management projects. This includes:
-Providing support for implementing global systems and processes (alignment with North America/APAC processes)
-Adopting new SOX control processes
-Ensuring accuracy and integrity of information.

-Pivotal role within the team, with a focus in teaching, training and coaching teammates. Create an environment of continuous improvement and process efficiency to enhance teammate satisfaction and career progression.
-This is a hands-on role, being a key member of the EMEA Financial Reporting team working closely with the EMEA local finance teammates, the US Corporate Finance Team, Auditors (Both internal and external) and other supporting functions across EMEA.

Key skills and experience required:

-Graduate level accountant with some prior experience of financial reporting-SAP experience
-Strong communication and presentation skills-Exposure to SOX processes / audit
-Accuracy and timeliness in reporting-Knowledge of US GAAP / reporting into US parent
-Ability to work as a team, building a positive team spirit and inspire, motivate, and support teammates.-Exposure to international organisation
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills-
-Ability to identify and implement process improvements and changes-
-Excellent attention to detail-
-Organisational and planning skills-
-Integrity and honesty-
