Full Job Description

The role encompasses responsibility for the maintenance of the accounting records for accounts payable and receivable.,

  • Responsible for the purchase ledger processes (entering of supplier invoices against purchase orders raised, checking of supplier statements)
  • Raise invoice queries with suppliers following these through until resolved
  • Process supplier monthly payments to include foreign currency payments
  • Checking goods received against purchase orders/invoices
  • Raising purchase orders (general ledger)
  • Responsible for the sales ledger processes (generating and sending sales invoices and customer statements)
  • Credit control
  • Customer and Supplier Account Entry
  • Process credit card transactions
  • Identify and address discrepancies in all documentation
  • Update all databases and spreadsheets related to accounting
  • Courier tracking of goods in transit (incoming and outgoing)
  • Assist with month and year end financial reporting
  • Assist with the entering of stock adjustments at month and year end
  • Sales administration support with day to day processes required

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Your Experience and Education include:
  • AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting/Or Equivalent Skills/Experience
  • Proven finance administration experience
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Excel
  • Ability to learn and use new accounting and communication technology and to seek out new and additional duties
  • Supports other individuals working within the financial resources department and other departments on matters relating to accounts procedures
  • Ability to maintain data confidentiality at all times.
  • Order processing and reporting experience
  • Effective problem solving skills
