Full Job Description

This role sits within our Business & Industry division, catering to those within the workplace. Taking care of catering and dining services, we're one of the industry's largest and most innovative contract caterers. With menus available to pre-order and with in-app payment, Elior B&I have matched the tastes and dietary requirements of our four million daily customers with 21st-century tech. What you'll be doing... This is a key role to support the Operation Director and their operations managers, providing the commercial stewardship of their business, assisting to deliver profit & sales growth. The prime objective of the role is to provide commercial analysis and insight, financial reporting and forecasting, and to influence and challenge business decisions in order to maximise business profit. An operational background would be an advantage. Actively working within the business there is significant exposure to the operational function, this role will influence at all levels of the Operations Director's business. Key Operational Accountabilities

  • Business partnering with the on-site and operational teams
  • Working with the Operations Director to ensure that pricing to clients is re-negotiated to mitigate the impact of inflation of both food and labour
  • Consistent weekly reporting sales, gross profit, labour, and overheads for each contract
  • Analysis of poor performing accounts and recommendation to improve profitability
  • Assess overall finance compliance (cash control, till readings vs insight etc) and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Provide decision support to initiatives and projects supporting delivery of targets through insightful analysis and idea generation
  • Providing interpretation and challenge to current & future trading plans
  • Prepare the financial planning and budgeting process within timescales
  • Support colleagues across the business in developing financial awareness
  • Frequent travel required to sites across the North West and South West
  • Working Pattern: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)

  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with successful business partnering
  • Operational background would be a benefit
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative, effectively prioritise and manage workload, meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels in the organisation
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills - including pivot tables, formulae, lookup tables, 'if' statements & comfortable with multi-workbook reporting
  • Ideally AAT qualified or working towards ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous
