Full Job Description

As a Financial Controller, you'll be the go-to person for our Group Financial Controller and Head of Financial Control & Reporting, making sure the ledgers are impeccable, and the financial processes are robust. Your mission - overseeing the accounting activities for our UK and Guernsey group entities, while also taking on a global remit to ensure balance sheet integrity and internal control governance. Collaboration is your superpower, working closely with wider finance teams, gaining a full end to end understanding of our processes to identify and implement standardised ways of working that enhance our control environment and drive efficiencies.

Leadership, Financial Control and Financial Reporting are your three key areas, you'll work in partnership with other departments, proactively recommending and assisting with changes to enhance the financial control environment, creating a people-centric place where your team has clear direction, is supported with career development and always celebrating success. Your inquisitive approach will shine as you tackle cross-functional accounting projects.

You'll oversee day to day activities of the month-end close process, review the annual statutory accounts for the UK and Guernsey group entities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Plus, you'll liaise with external auditors, review supporting audit evidence and coordinate with various internal finance teams.

You'll bring a ton of knowledge of financial processes and accounting flows/controls, be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, have a problem-solving approach and have the tenacity to question the status quo. Your ability to build relationships, have an effective communication style and the ability to present at all levels will set you apart.

Up to £65,000 (depending on experience) + bonus and benefits
