Full Job Description

Responsible for the following processes:

  • Record to Report (e.g., General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Variance Analysis)
  • Balance sheet review & reconciliations
  • Inventory / Cost Accounting
  • External/Internal Audits
  • Statutory & tax reporting
  • SoX controls
  • Other as management sees appropriate
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare financial reports for a BU, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Report financial data to be reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
  • Execute processes including, but not limited to: General Ledger (e.g., review and approve manual journal entries, reconciling/reviewing accounts, and preparing financial statements), fixed assets, and necessary support for treasury and tax/trade compliance including variance analysis
  • General support for the close process
  • Cost Management
  • Report the costs associated with the BU, highlight cost trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Support the partnerships with other functions to ensure that expenses are aligned with overall business strategy
  • Internal Controls
  • Execute internal control systems within the BU to ensure effectiveness and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Systems
  • Assist the Associate director owning projects to ensure utilisation of financial systems/modules as intended and are fit for purpose and used in the most efficient way
  • Assist in creating / driving efficiencies and standardisation
  • Assist the Associate director in implementing strategic financial plans across Europe and continuous improvement initiatives relating to people, process and systems
  • Business Partnering
  • Support the partnerships with other functions within the organisation, including sales, marketing, and operations, to provide financial support and guidance.

    Understanding of financial accounting rules and policy, and ability to implement internal controls to ensure compliance at the highest levels
  • Understanding in local accounting laws, policy, best practices, and compliance
  • Understanding of US GAAP and SOX controls
  • Ability to complete routine accounting activities with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to develop detailed accounting deliverables, Strong communication
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
  • Selfe starter with initiative
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills to complete close activities
  • Able to manage deliverables independently
  • Demonstrate exceptional planning, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Power Point, Oracle experience is highly desired. Education Required:
  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent in professional accounting qualification, like ACCA, CIMA, etc
  • Education Preferred: Experience:
  • Controllership/Accounting experience
  • Systems implementation experience
  • International / US GAAP experience
  • Relevant experience working in a manufacturing business environment desirable
  • Experience in a professional environment, executing tasks and delivering efficiency
