Full Job Description

Ferrero is offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager to take the lead in ensuring compliance with customs obligations and driving customs optimisation across the UK&I region. In this role, you will closely monitor customs laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions, evaluating their impact on Ferrero and ensuring the company stays ahead of any changes.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing claims related to Group insurance policies and handling litigation concerning damages, all with the goal of minimising costs for the Group. Your role will also involve the implementation of customs and insurance policies, ensuring they are effectively integrated into Ferrero's operations., As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting customs compliance activities across various departments. This involves analysing changes in UK&I customs duties regulations to ensure the company remains compliant and agile. You will work closely with the Group Customs Department, providing insights into the customs implications and opportunities related to projects, investments, and other initiatives. In the event of customs challenges by authorities, you will coordinate efforts with Group Customs and serve as the primary point of contact during customs audits. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and adhering to the Group Customs policy within the region.

In this role, you will manage the application of insurance policies aimed at safeguarding company assets and minimising costs associated with litigation from accidents or damages. You will apply Group Insurance policies while integrating additional actions as needed to address specific issues within the UK&I region. Working closely with other departments, such as manufacturing, you will support prevention activities designed to mitigate risks. You will also handle the follow-up on accidents and ensure the effective execution of the Group Insurance Policy.

You will be responsible for leading and managing your assigned team, ensuring that the management approach aligns with Ferrero's core values of motivation, diversity and inclusion, competence development, and empowerment. You will promote effective communication through line managers to their teams, ensuring clear guidance and direction. In addition to recruiting, managing, motivating, and coaching your team, you will focus on fostering their professional development. You will regularly evaluate team members and propose initiatives to support their growth and development within the company.

Ideally, you will hold a university degree in Finance, Controlling, or Accounting, though this is not a strict requirement. A strong technical background, including experience in reporting, internal controls, and taxation-particularly within the FMCG or Manufacturing sectors-is preferred. You should have a solid understanding of financial systems and tools, with expertise in technical knowledge and the ability to clearly communicate these concepts to the finance team.

Success in this role will require strong interpersonal and leadership skills, combined with a proactive and independent approach. Your problem-solving abilities should enable you to meet deadlines and deliver results effectively. Excellent communication skills and computing proficiency are essential, and experience with SAP would be a valuable asset.
