We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Financial Services Manager to come and lead our Finance Team. Working for our Assistant Director Resources and Section 151 Officer you will use your financial expertise to personally provide high level financial advice to senior officers and elected members, helping ensure that we make the most of our resources to deliver the best possible services to residents, businesses, and visitors to West Norfolk. You will also act as Deputy Section 151 Officer. As a service manager you will also use your managerial experience to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive accountancy and financial management service for the Council, including a unique range of projects and initiatives, and our group of wholly owned council companies.

You must be CIPFA qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience and an up-to-date knowledge of finance within a local government context, including awareness of relevant legislation. As Financial Services Manager, you will have the ability to provide advice and guidance on financial matters to senior colleagues and have the management skills to lead and motivate a busy team effectively, ensuring the delivery of key accounting functions to a high standard and to tight deadlines. You will also play a key role in leading, and motivating the team, developing systems and processes to meet challenges effectively through working more efficiently and innovatively.
