Full Job Description

  • Within the role they will have the responsibility of placing policies for a wide range of clients across all territories (excluding USA), both as a supporting member of the client teams and, once they develop, as a lead broker/account executive managing their own accounts.
  • From time to time, the candidate will also be involved in working on new business tenders in addition to their responsibilities for the retention of existing clients.
  • They will manage and develop client and Willis Towers Watson relationships and grow the portfolio within the business unit.
  • The person will be joining a very successful and dynamic team (GB FI International) and therefore we are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious and hardworking individual to further enhance the team.
  • A major part of this is to bring a strong team ethic with adaptability to work across countries and product lines.
  • Principal Accountabilities
  • Conduct Risk: To put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business, Take an active role to support senior team members on large, complex placements - making contributions to discussions on strategy and challenging the current way of working with a view to achieving the optimum result possible for clients
  • Take primary responsibility for other placements as allocated to you - always with the support and guidance of the wider team
  • Develop and maintain beneficial working relationships with key market contacts
  • Manage compliant processing of contracts as per FCA and contract certainty requirements
  • Assist with loading of data into the relevant Willis Towers Watson Systems
  • Check policies, market presentations and client documentation as appropriate
  • Assist with and design programme and pricing structures to best meet the client's needs based on knowledge of the client, the insurance market and industry sector proposition
  • Deliver optimisation of revenue from new and existing clients through the use of the full range of appropriate placement channels and markets for the specific client segment of the business
  • Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Understand the clients' business and risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service
  • Understand, apply and where necessary explain the BU policies and procedures
  • Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams within the BU and across the Group for clients as required
  • Liaise with clients and build strong relationships
  • Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients' needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients
  • Grow existing portfolio by identifying new and/or expanded opportunities
  • Business Development
  • Although not one of the principal elements of the role, all individuals within the team are expected to take responsibility for supporting the drive of the sales process and business area practice activity in relation to winning, retaining and developing profitable new clients
  • Respond quickly and accurately to new business introductions
  • Actively identify opportunities to work with colleagues across the business to capitalise on account penetration and cross selling opportunities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by Willis
  • Networking - internally with other BUs, within the sector, and with external specialists (lawyers, TPAs, insurers).
  • Operational and Service Delivery
  • Support and deliver the end to end ongoing client service, adhering to standardised policies, procedures and service standards
  • Support the BU in accurate budgeting, forecasting and tracking of revenue
  • Deliver high levels of client service in line with standard operating procedures
  • Communicate effectively with clients, associates, markets and others where appropriate to maximise service delivery levels
  • Working with senior colleagues in the development of service plans that define the engagement and timing of engagement with the client
  • Manage KPIs/SLAs to ensure targets are met
  • Ensure adherence to Group policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements

  • Utilise the opportunities within WTW to enhance knowledge and understanding of connected business units such as Contract Advisory Team (wordings), claims handling and analytics
  • Support the overall operational governance and decision-making process for BU
  • Support management and Willis in the management of risks applicable to BU
  • Any other duties commensurate with position or level of responsibility
  • Maintain relevant qualifications required for the role

    We are seeking an experienced insurance professional with expertise in Financial/Professional Lines, ideally with a focus on Financial Institutions accounts. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, handling complex placements, and fostering client relationships, all while working within a dynamic and collaborative team at WTW., The ideal candidate will have prior experience within Financial / Professional Lines insurance, ideally specifically in a role focussing on Financial Institutions accounts., Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service
  • Practical knowledge of account development and appropriate tools to achieve this aim
  • Ability to build effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists
  • Ability to represent the practice and Willis Towers Watson with integrity and credibility
  • Good communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems to support client service delivery
  • Knowledge of Financial Lines products and corresponding financial and client sectors
  • Ability to take responsibility for self-learning, making the most of opportunities within the business to enhance knowledge both inside and outside the team
  • Strong work ethic and desire to put the needs of the wider team first
  • Willingness to actively engage with all colleagues within the wider BU to develop mutually beneficial working relationships
  • Qualifications:
  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification
  • Preferably educated to degree level or relevant industry experience
