Finishing Operator - Complex First Minder

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities include folding and packing pharmaceutical cartons, ensuring that the planned output for quality, volume, and yield meets customer requirements. This role requires adaptability to changing customer needs and operating procedures, with the understanding that the job holder will perform any function for which they are adequately trained or competent. How you will impact Smurfit-Westrock :

• Set and run folding machines to meet quality standards and planned volume with minimal waste.
• Learn to set up leaflet insertion machines and tag applicators.
• Prepare complex cartons (e.g., 4 corner, Crash Lock base, Internal Fitments, Double wall).
• Set up leaflet insertion machines and tag applicators.
• Produce labels for packing trays and boxes.
• Operate counting machinery.
• Adhere to operating procedures and quality policies and follow 5S procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on folding machines and report additional maintenance needs.
• Manage day-to-day machine operations.
  
  Basic numeracy and literacy skills and have basic PC knowledge.
• Experience with machines (preferably in printing, pharmaceuticals, or food industries).
• Quality conscious (familiarity with ISO 9001:2000 would be desirable).
• Flexible team player, who is self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently.
