Finishing Technician

We are seeking an individual to join our team and learn how to become a Machine Setter and Operator. The ideal candidate will have a flexible, can-do attitude, be PC literate, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. As a business, we prioritize Health & Safety practices and strive to promote a satisfying work environment. As a Finishing Technician, you will produce finished products for the pharmaceutical sector, set up, operate, and service machinery, make machine adjustments, diagnose and rectify faults, and drive exceptional quality. How you will impact WestRock:

• Achieve daily/weekly production targets.
• Maximise machine efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in production.
• Log and record duties performed in "Shop Floor, Data Collection" (SFDC)
• To assist in the maintenance of all machinery and equipment in line with established planned maintenance programmes.
  
  Ability to take responsibility for own work and actions.
• Flexible to work to established shift patterns including nightshift.
• A desire to learn about good manufacturing practice.
• A good eye for detail.
• Must be I.T. literate and have a basic understanding of Microsoft packages.
• Willing to learn new skills and participate in training.
