Full Job Description

As a Fire Door Installer and Fire Stopping Installer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation of fire door sets
  • All aspects of fire door maintenance
  • Working on your own as well as part of a team, working closely with others to solve problems as and when they arise
  • Liaising with colleagues and managers on a daily basis
  • Carrying out fire door assessments and record findings via app (eg Bolster)
  • Installation of fire rated loft hatches.
  • Construction of fire rated stud partitions.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring that compliance is always at the forefront of all works
  • Record all works (including photographic) via app (eg Bolster)

    To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:
  • Previous experience working as a carpenter with at least 5 years' experience in the industry
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in joinery or other relevant trade.
  • CSCS Card
  • FIRAS Accreditation (desirable)
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Experience of working in occupied environments including Local Authority, Education and Health sectors
  • Be able to communicate effectively and courteously with work colleagues
  • A good awareness and understanding of Health & Safety on site
  • Ability to diagnose/problem solve
  • Full toolkit to carry out the works required
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check will be carried out.
