Full Job Description

We are now recruiting a First Line Manager to work on our growing manufacturing site at Nufarm Wyke. The purpose of this role is to manage the shift operations of a group of a chemical process plant, utilising resources allocated by the Production Shift Manager to deliver the short-term production plan.

You will be making decisions as required within the remit of the role to meet production whilst adhering to the Companies Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.

  • Standard Operating Excellence : Precision matters. Execute all operations according to established procedures. Your attention to detail will keep our processes humming.

  • Emergency Response : When crisis strikes, you'll be our anchor. Collaborate with the Emergency Response Team, following protocols to maintain control and safety.

  • Continuous Learning : Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations. Liaise with maintenance for efficient repairs and planned enhancements.

    Are you an experience Chemical Process Operator ready to make that next step?, You will have experience working within a COMAH chemical manufacturing site with awareness of complex operations and health and safety regulations.


  • You have team management experience and ideally a degree in chemistry or engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • You will work a 12.33-hour continuous shift pattern. Working 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. This pattern repeats seven times, after which there is a further 14-day extended rostered break.

    All holidays are rostered into the shift pattern.
