Fixed Term Receptionist

We consistently review our teams needs and are aware future planning is key. Due to this, we now require a full time receptionist. The role is to be part of a fast paced, friendly team, and requires the candidates to work under pressure and have the ability to absorb regular changes. However, it is rewarding, varied and well supported by fellow colleagues and management team.

The role will be primarily front facing covering the reception desks, answering inbound telephone calls and a variety of administrative duties., The role varies on a rota pattern to support inbound calls to the Practice, greeting patients on reception and answering queries, and administrative duties which include arranging appointments, contacting patients by phone and email, and basic paperwork., We encourage communication and social mixing and training is a key focus in our teams. Although we are looking for an experienced receptionist, any successful candidate would be provided with a 12 week induction to gain a full understanding of our procedures. Training includes a weekly review and all employees are part of a 'house' team with a dedicated Partner to support with issues and be a point of contact outside the management team.

We appreciate delivering high quality care in a fast-paced environment also needs to include some fun! We hold regular social events such as team nights out and evening meals, we regularly take part in Race for Life, charity cake sales as well as dedicating time in our in-house training to team building with egg hunts and sports days.

You will need to have sound administrative and communication skills, together with a caring and solution focused approach to patient related problems.

You will have the ability to remain calm in difficult situations as well as having the initiative to identify outstanding workload and support the team in completing this. Flexibility to cover colleagues annual leave and sickness is desirable.

We are a large, friendly practice with onsite parking in the centre of Ossett, caring for over 22,000 patients. We strive to deliver a high level of patient care through innovative ways, working closely alongside other practices and external services.
