Full Job Description

The Driver Cleaners are responsible for ensuring the vehicles are collected and delivered to places of maintenance and repair and back to their Operational location according to plan in a timely manner with minimum disruption to Operations., The Driver Cleaners are responsible for ensuring the vehicles are collected and delivered to places of maintenance and repair and back to their Operational location according to plan in a timely manner with minimum disruption to Operations.

To ensure vehicles in their location are clean and presented at the highest standards. The Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust operates a Fleet of 925 vehicles, comprising of Accident and Emergency Ambulances, Rapid Response Vehicles, Patient Care Services vehicles and specialist response vehicles.

Vehicles are maintained and repaired through a combination of in-house workshops and third party suppliers. The in-house workshops are located in South East and North Wales, the vehicles based in Central and West and parts of South East areas are maintained predominantly by third party suppliers.

All accident repair work is undertaken by approved accident and repair Centres throughout Wales.

The post holder will be required to carry out the collection and delivery of vehicles and parts to and from Ambulance stations, workshops, suppliers and other locations as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
